“We were inspired by the nature that surrounds us here in Sweden, historical textiles and by classic, traditional wooden parquet patterns.” says Eklund. “In a stunning way ‘Silence’ also showcases our flooring’s exclusive capability to develop 3D effects and reflect light – this final characteristic means that the flooring can have a totally distinct look, depending on the path from which light is falling.”

A distinctive weaving strategy offers Silence depth and structure and creates 3D effects and playful light reflections. “To the touch, Silence is soft and tactile with a warm, sober Tweed feeling – a good contradiction, taking into consideration it is very durable, fire resistant and covered by some of the world’s most stringent environmental certifications.” adds Bolon.
Also noteworthy, Silence is 100% free of the softening agent phthalate – a function that illustrates the company’s commitment to environmental innovation and one that will be applied to every single Bolon collection from 2014 onwards.
