With a series of stacked and unidirectional vaults contained within a basic solid mass, the parallel orientation of the rooms inside the residence becomes a filter that emphasizes the continuation of the oceanfront view from the beachfront façade to the street. Similar to the paradigm of a shotgun-home, the singular path of the vaults maximizes the connection of all spaces inside a deep building, meanwhile incorporating the excellent exterior landscape of the ocean and horizon.</em></p><br/><p><strong>Project:</strong> Vault Residence<br/><strong>Designed by</strong> Johnston Marklee<br/><strong>Location:</strong> Oxnard, California, USA<br/><strong>Site:</strong>  www.johnstonmarklee.com</p><br/><p> If you enjoyed this post, please think about leaving a comment or subscribing to the <abbr title="Really Simple Syndication">RSS</abbr> feed to have future articles delivered to your feed reader.<br/><img alt="pin it button Vault House By Johnston Marklee architecture " src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/pin-it-button__.png" title="Pin It" /><br/><img alt="p Vault House By Johnston Marklee architecture " border="" height="1" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/p__________________________________________________________________________________________________.gif" title="Vault House By Johnston Marklee architecture " width="1" />
